□ The Beginning (2004-2005)

Two professionals in the Public and Elder Care Health sectors recognized the need for a reliable resource to solve indoor air quality environmental challenges. HBIA was established for the dual purpose of providing businesses and institutions with innovative solutions and employees with a company they believed in.
□ The Personal Why

The two professionals—a husband and wife team—experienced MOLD damage in their own basement. They found few experts to assist them, and the cost was a minimum of $1,000 just to have someone knock on the door—not including any testing. This personal struggle became their mission to help other families.
□□□ HEIRD: Helping Families

The HBIA Educational Informational Residential Division (HEIRD) was born to assist families with proper solution recommendations and real data facts. We saw the large demand due to inadequate support for homeowners and renters who suffered with poor indoor air quality.
□ Today: Nationwide Impact

We've helped hundreds of companies and families throughout the DC area, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Delaware, Ohio, Florida, and beyond. Today, HBIA is a Nationwide Benefit Corporation combining "green" building principles with cutting-edge environmental science for commercial, industrial, and residential clients.
